Five RBI Day For Thomas (Aidyn) King Brings In Win For Southeast Over Pacific Southwest
Thomas (Aidyn) King came the ballpark and meant business on Wednesday, driving in five on two hits to lead Southeast past Pacific Southwest 10-6 on Wednesday. King drove in runs on a single in the third and a grand slam in the fourth.
Bats blistered as Southeast collected eight hits and Pacific Southwest tallied 11 in the high-scoring game.
Pacific Southwest opened up scoring in the first inning, when Angelo Sherman homered on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
Southeast pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Thatcher Harley drew a walk, scoring one run and King homered on a 1-0 count, scoring four runs.
Ezekiel Podgorski earned the win for Southeast. The fireballer surrendered one run on three hits over three innings, walking one. Noah Miller threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Miller recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Southeast.
Nolan Jess took the loss for Pacific Southwest. The hurler lasted two innings, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out one.
Harley started the game for Southeast. The pitcher allowed eight hits and five runs over three innings, striking out one and walking zero Matteo Massagli started the game for Pacific Southwest. The pitcher lasted three and a third innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out four
Southeast smacked one home run on the day. King went for the long ball in the fourth inning.
Southeast collected eight hits. King and Harley each managed multiple hits for Southeast. Harley and King each collected two hits to lead Southeast.
Pacific Southwest totaled 11 hits in the game. Drew Hannula, Dane Wallace, Massagli, and Sherman each racked up multiple hits for Pacific Southwest. Pacific Southwest was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Hannula had the most chances in the field with nine.
