Which Rawlings Little League Baseballs Should You Buy?

Rawlings RLLB and RLLB1 baseballs come with a genuine leather cover.

RLLB1 baseballs use 100% composite and rubber cork centers (without cushion) surrounded by less-tensile yarn material.

Yarn windings for RLLB1 baseballs are not tightly wound compared to RLLB baseballs. That results in RLLB1 baseballs developing flat spots quickly after being hit repeatedly.

RLLB baseballs, on the other hand, come with cushioned cork centers (rubber shells), and the use of more tensile quality yarn materials, winding method, and glue all contribute to what Rawlings calls Extended Innings Technology (EIT).

What is Extended Innings Technology?
EIT keeps baseballs more firm by applying waterproofing glue with tight raised seams to protect the ball from moisture and humidity. EIT baseballs are used in high school and college level play and will supposedly last 15% longer with the same great consistency and moisture protection

Takeaways

RLLB1 baseballs are perfect for 9 to 11-year-old players because players at this level do not hit the ball that hard.

Rawlings RLLB baseballs are perfect for 12 to 14 year-old players because these baseballs tend to better resist baseballs from being easily dented.

Rawlings RLLB1 baseballs usually cost about 20% less than Rawlings RLLB baseballs.
