Cichocki’s Walk-off Gives Middle Atlantic (Bridgewater, NJ) Victory Over Ohio Valley (Eau-Claire, WI)

Middle Atlantic defeated Ohio Valley 4-3 on Sunday thanks to a walk-off single. The game was tied at three with Middle Atlantic batting in the bottom of the seventh when Matthew Cichocki singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Ohio Valley opened up scoring in the second inning. An error scored one run for Ohio Valley.

In the top of the sixth inning, Ohio Valley tied things up at three. Bobby Gillespie threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Ohio Valley.

Middle Atlantic notched three runs in the third inning. Middle Atlantic put the pressure on, lead by an error on a ball put in play by Zachary Leon and a double by James Kilgallon.

Gillespie led things off on the mound for Middle Atlantic. Gillespie lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out four.

Carter Gunderson started the game for Ohio Valley. Gunderson allowed six hits and three runs over four and a third innings, striking out two and walking zero. Caleb Moss threw two and a third innings in relief.

Middle Atlantic had nine hits in the game. Brandon Kim and Leon all had multiple hits for Middle Atlantic. Leon and Kim each managed two hits to lead Middle Atlantic.

Ohio Valley tallied nine hits in the game. Kellen Smith and Kamron Diermeier all managed multiple hits for Ohio Valley. Smith led Ohio Valley with three hits in three at bats.
