Southeast Clinches Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat Ohio Valley
Southeast snagged a late lead and defeated Ohio Valley 5-1 on Friday. The game was tied at one with Southeast batting in the bottom of the fifth when Noah M drew a walk, scoring one run.
Caleb Thomas led things off on the hill for Southeast. The hurler lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out seven.
Caleb Moss was on the hill for Ohio Valley. The bulldog went three innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out one and walking one. Carter Gunderson and Jake Bjerke entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one and one-third innings respectively.
Baker Safley went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Southeast in hits.
